MadLuke Farms was established in the late 2000's when Luke was born.  The name was created from Jim and Kate's two children, Maddie and Luke. Jim grew up in Carroll County, showing and raising cattle, sheep, and row crop.  He introduced Maddie to cattle when she was very young and there was no turning back.  MadLuke started with 4H animals and quickly lead to traveling to a family friend in Virginia each year to select some high quality cattle.  We started raising our own herd with what we called the "Honey" family.  These were stout, big bellied, sound and good milking cows.  We still have some of this genetic line around. We  have always been proud of our genetics and how they produce good structured animals, but in recent years we have really expanded our gene pool to include some top competitors in the Simmental breed.  We look forward to what is to come with our program!
